Signal Box Call to Artists

The Clearwater Arts Alliance is seeking vibrant, original artwork for Thinking Outside the Box, a public art program that transforms Clearwater's traffic signal boxes into colorful community landmarks. This opportunity is open to artists who live, work, or maintain an active studio practice in Pinellas County, Florida. To apply, please complete the form below and upload three (3) original artwork images. Selected artists will receive $1,000, and all three submitted artworks will be licensed for use as signal box wrap designs. We look forward to seeing your work and sharing local creativity throughout Clearwater.

Please provide a brief artist biography, résumé, or statement (250 words or less) that introduces you and your artistic practice. This information will help the selection committee learn more about your background, experience, creative interests, and the work submitted for consideration.

I certify that the artwork submitted is my original work and that I own all rights necessary to grant Clearwater Arts Alliance permission to reproduce the selected images for the Thinking Outside the Box program. I understand that if selected, I will receive a one-time payment of $1,000 and that all three submitted artworks may be used as signal box wrap designs. I have read and agree to the program guidelines and requirements outlined in this Call to Artists.
