Sculpture Series Application 2026 The Clearwater Arts Alliance (CAA) invites sculptors to submit existing works for consideration for the next installation of the Clearwater Sculpture Series, a rotating public art exhibition located along the Cleveland Street corridor in the heart of Downtown Clearwater. The Clearwater Sculpture Series brings large-scale, three-dimensional artwork directly into the public realm, transforming Downtown Clearwater’s Main Street into an engaging outdoor art experience. Located on existing sculpture plinths in the medians of the 400, 500, and 600 blocks of Cleveland Street, the exhibition is seen by downtown residents and employees, visitors, restaurant and retail patrons, and thousands of people attending events and performances throughout downtown. Following the successful reinvigoration of the sculpture program, the Clearwater Arts Alliance is seeking a new group of artists and sculptures to continue this public art initiative. Three sculptures will be selected for installation in early October 2026 and will remain on public display for approximately 18 months. Submissions will be reviewed with consideration given to: Artistic Quality & Visual Impact, Contribution to Downtown Clearwater, Public Engagement, Durability & Safety, and Installation Feasibility. CAA seeks to create an exhibition that represents a compelling combination of works rather than selecting three sculptures solely on their individual scores. Scale, materials, visual diversity and the relationship between the three selected works may therefore be considered during final selection.Deadline: Artists must complete the form by Friday, September 25, 2026 to be considered for the Sculpture Series. Compensation: Each selected artist will receive a total $5,000 honorarium/rental fee for the approximately 18-month exhibition period.
